ICSE organization was born in 1979 with the creation of its first company, the Canary Institute of Psychology and Education. Since then, the group has followed a line of almost constant growth, overcoming difficult situations to always return with greater strength and more services to the citizen. The following are a series of significant dates in the ICSE timeline that help to better understand the company's history.
International recognition as the Most Inclusive Higher Education Institution 2023 in the category of Education and Training Awards certified by Corporate Vision, AI Global Media Ltd.
Signing of the agreement with the University Fernando Pessoa Canarias.
Recognition of the trajectory of the Center with the Gold Medal in Education awarded by the City of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria.
Ranked in the 6th position of the best private Higher Education Institutions in Spain by a Report done by Strategik B&M Consulting.
Approval of the Equality Plans and the Protocol for Prevention of Sexual Harrassment, updated in accordance with the R.D. 901/2020, of 13 October.
Renewal the ISO 27001 Security of Information Management System.
Signing of the agreement with UNIR (Universidad Internacional de La Rioja).
Getting the ISO 27001 Security of Information Management System.
Signing of the agreement with UDIMA (Universidad a Distancia de Madrid).
Creation of the Centro Universitario Internacional de Canarias.
Signing of the agreement with the YSJU by which students of vocational training in ICSE can access directly the third year of the English degree.
Incorporation into the ERASMUS+ European Program.
Signing of the agreement with the French Alliance.
Beginning of the process of certification in CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility).
National awards in Educational Excellence: Best career as a training center and best professional insertion project.
Getting the EFQM+500 Excellence Seal.
Authorization as Vocational Training Private Integrated Facility, by the Consejerías de Educación y de Empleo of the Government of the Canary Islands.
Finalization, in Las Palmas de G.C., of the institutional headquarters placed in the José Franchy Roca Street: Building with Category A in the Energy Performance Certificate and National Award of Architecture in crystal “Best facade of 2015 in Spain and Portugal”.
Getting the EFQM+400 Excellence Seal.
Internationalization: Signing of collaboration agreements with English universities (YSJU, Teeside, UCB, Cambridge).
Creation of the Instituto de Estudios del Atlántico, S.L.
Signing of the agreement with the Rey Juan Carlos University (URJC) of Madrid and with the Isabel I International University (UI1). Inauguration of a new headquarters in Gran Canaria, a building with Energy Certification A.
ICSE is a national finalist for the “Ability Awards” for the second time in a row and receives the CECAP Award for “Business Career”. Signing of the agreement with the Catholic University of Murcia (UCAM).
The ICSE Group is awarded in Equality and Non-Discrimination by the Ministry of Health, Social Policy and Equality, with the distinctive “Equality in the company”. ICSE receives the Gran Canaria Award "Companies for Equality" and the Canary Award for "Business Excellence". Signature of the collaboration agreement with the Madrid Distance University (UDIMA).
ICSE gets the category of Private Vocational Training Center, authorized by the Government to teach official education. The newspaper EL DÍA de Tenerife distinguishes the president of ICSE as a Canarian personality in "Gallery of portraits"
Opening of new accessible facilities in Santa Cruz de Tenerife. ISO / IEC 27001 Information Security Systems Certification (AENOR). Receipt of the SME award for "Business Value and Risk".
Creation of delegated centers in Lanzarote and Fuerteventura.
The Government of the Canary Islands grants the International Symbol of Accessibility to the ICSE Centers in Gran Canaria, and shortly after, to Tenerife.
Move to a new headquarters with wide and accessible facilities in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria.
Obtaining the ISO 14001: 200 Environmental Management certification. Creation of the Tenerife Institute of Psychology and Business, a new group company.
Online courses begin through the e-learning platform.
Obtaining the Certificate of the Quality Management System, ISO 9001.
ICSE receives the Gold Badge from the Official College of Psychologists.
Fundación Canaria ICSE is born, a non-profit entity, with registry in the Protectorate of Functions under the Government of the Canary Islands. Moreover, a new company is founded, the Instituto Canario Superior de Estudios, with its headquarters in Gran Canaria and Tenerife.
The president of ICSE is appointed Advisory Member of the Social Council of the School of Health and Social Services of the Government of the Canary Islands. The company receives the European Master of Quality.
Signing of the collaboration agreement with the Alfonso X el Sabio University, making ICSE the delegated entity in the Canary Islands of the prestigious university.
Creation of a second company, specialized in new technologies, called SEICA (Servicios Electrónicos e Informáticos de Canarias).
Election of the director of ICSE, José Domingo Martín Espino, by the newspaper LA PROVINCIA, as one of the 52 representatives of Canarian science and culture, being interviewed in the Sunday “La sombra del Nublo”
ICSE inaugurates a third center in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria.
Creation of the professional and educational informatics division.
Training actions are expanded and consolidated, opening a new center in La Laguna, Tenerife.
Opening of the second training center in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria.
ICSE is appointed Member of the Advisory Commission of the Ministry of Education of the Government of the Canary Islands.
Training activities are extended to Tenerife.
The activity of ICSE begins as a center for applied psychology, with the creation of the Canary Institute of Psychology and Education.
