Intelligent Building

The new building of ICSE Las Palmas presents advanced characteristics for its time, trying to set trends and trasmit the values that it exemplifies: sustainabilty, environment, integration, accessibility, equality… For this purpose it is based on a series of properties and particularities that make it an unique construction in the Canary Islands.

The building has more than 5500 m² of constructed area. The idiosyncrasy of the company must be reflected in each of its corners. Four basic precepts have been the ones that have guided the decision-making in the construction process:

• Representativeness: It is intended that the new ICSE leave its mark and open unexplored paths in the Canarian archipelago. There are no such facilities on any of the seven islands.
• Innovation: A unique degree of innovation that defines sustainable architecture and engineering: double skin façade, use of high-quality noble materials, LED lighting, photovoltaic panels, wind energy, biomass, water recycling, ...
• Efficiency: The search for maximum energy efficiency has been and continues to be a priority. All equipment and facilities are at the highest level of environmental respect.
• Teaching: ICSE has been dedicated to training since 1979. For this reason, the foundation that sustains the building is that all the elements have been designed and built with a marked didactic character.
