Introduction

International trade, also known as foreign trade, is what encompasses the purchase and sale of goods and services between different countries and their markets. But today we can no longer speak only of strictly commercial relationships. New technologies have globalized the planet, and cultural and political relations have also reached a world level.

This phenomenon of globalization of the economy has allowed foreign trade to grow in volume and importance, as it significantly affects domestic or local trade. Access to international quality products, made in industrialized countries that would otherwise be impossible to have, allows less technologically advanced nations to access innovations.

Grants and Scholarships

For the 2024-2025 academic year, CIES S.L. offers three types of grants and scholarships*:

GRANT FOR SPECIAL CIRCUMSTANCES*

Requirements: The grant is aimed at students enrolled in the ICSE Group Training Cycles in the 2024-2025 academic year who present any of the following special circumstances (non-cumulatives):

Large family
Orphanhood
Certificate of disability
Unemployed (confirm 24 months of unemployment)

The deadline for submitting the applications is 17 October 2024.
The amount of the grant is 125€ per student.

DISPLACEMENT GRANT*

Requirements: The grant is aimed at students enrolled in ICSE, residents in other islands or communities who need to travel to Gran Canaria to continue their studies or tutorials of the Training Cycle or Expert in the 2024-2025 academic year.
The deadline for submitting the applications is 17 October 2024.
The amount of the grant is 200€ per student.

SCHOLARSHIP FOR ACADEMIC EXCELLENCE*

Requirements: The scholarship is aimed at students who are going to study Training Cycles and/or Proper Bachelor's Degrees in ICSE in the 2024-2025 academic year.
Deadline:
- High School Students who are going to study their 1^st year in Training Cycles until 15 September 2024.
- Training Cycle Students who are going to study 2^nd year or a Proper Bachelor's Degree do not need to present an application.
Amount of the scholarship:
- Students comming from High School: 50% in the study of first year of Training Cycle.
- Students that begin a second year in Vocational Training: Are exempted from paying the tuition of second studying year.
- Students that begin their studies in Bachelor's Degree in any university with which we have an agreement in the 2024-2025 academic year: 50% in the study of a Proper Degree.
